Lac Orta

Orta San Giulio, la petite perle du lac d'Orta.

La pittoresque Piazza Motta, (où partent les ferries pour l'île de San Giulio.

Du côté nord de la place se trouve le Broletto ou Palazzo della Comunità della Riviera di San Giulio, qui date de 1582. Devant le broletto il y a une large montée appelée "Motta", au sommet de laquelle se trouve l'église paroissiale de Santa Maria Assunta.

Dominé par le bâtiment de l'ancien séminaire, construit en 1844 sur les ruines du château. Le séminaire abrite aujourd'hui le couvent des moniales bénédictines cloîtrées Monastero Mater Ecclesiae.

Sur l'île il y a aussi la Basilique de San Giulio, le monument roman le plus important de Novara. Derrière le village, sur un sommet, se dresse le Sacro Monte (patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO), un parcours de dévotion, composé de vingt chapelles à fresques, complété par des groupes de statues en terre cuite grandeur nature qui illustrent la vie de saint François d'Assise.

Pettenasco: Musée de l'art du tournage sur bois, église paroissiale des Saints Audenzio et Caterina, promenade panoramique et relaxante au bord du lac.

Pella: Situé de l'autre côté du lac est l'endroit idéal pour déguster une bonne glace sur le lac, pour visiter l'église paroissiale de San Filiberto.

Madonna del Sasso: il est possible de visiter le sanctuaire de la Madonna del Sasso érigé sur un éperon de granit directement au-dessus du lac, le Musée du tailleur de pierre, dédié aux travaux dans les carrières de granit blanc.

Omegna: L'église paroissiale de Sant'Ambrogio, le Forum géré par la Fondation du Musée des Arts et de l'Industrie, accueille une exposition permanente et diverses manifestations culturelles.

Quarna sotto: A quelques kilomètres d'Omegna, dans ce petit village vous pouvez visiter le Musée de la Musique.

Vacciago: Musée d'Art Contemporain Antonio Calderara.

Ameno: Musée et espace d'exposition Tornielli organisé par l'association Asilo Bianco. Le couvent franciscain de Monte Mesma et la tour de Buccione.

Legro: Village peint, vous pourrez admirer des peintures murales d'artistes.
